Easter Weekend 2008

Carter had a great Easter weekend! We started out by taking him to our church's egg hunt on Saturday. He wasn't very interested in the hunt, but he did like to throw the eggs and play on the slide on the playground. At least he had a good time!

On Sunday, he woke up to an Easter basket filled with his favorite things- books, Veggie Tales, and candy. The Easter Bunny knew how to make him happy! That afternoon, we took him outside to hunt eggs in the backyard, and he really got into the hunt this time. He also got to play with his new bubble wand, which he thought was really fun. His grandparents gave him a set of maracas for Easter. He has been playing with them ever since, much to the chagrin of Sweetie dog!

Easter...or Christmas?

Today Carter received 3 packages from the Easter Bunny early! His grandparents from KY and FL sent him books, toys, and cards to help him celebrate Easter. It was so cute to see him open up all his new books and read his cards. We feel very blessed to have such wonderful grandparents for Carter- thank you all for his gifts!

Time to Dye Easter Eggs!

Last week Carter and I went to pick out his Easter egg coloring kit. I wanted the classic Paas kit (it has 9 colors!), but Carter wanted the Mickey Mouse kit (it only has 5 colors, but it comes with Mickey tattoos!). I'm sure you can guess who won!

Carter was very interested in the eggs, and we even got him to name a couple of colors. He also really liked the Mickey Mouse tattoos- Jason let him pick out some of the ones to go on the eggs. I can't wait for him to hunt eggs this weekend!

Spring is Here!

Carter and I were so excited to see some warm weather coming our way this week! We have been outside quite a bit, so I wanted to share some pics of him playing in the back yard. He especially loves picking up sticks and pinecones, which he calls "ineones". Apparently P's and C's are not important!

Snow Day!!!!

We finally got some good snow yesterday! It really started coming down when Carter was napping, so he had a big surprise when he woke up. We went outside in all of our snow gear- three shirts, two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks, boots, coat, mittens, and a hat. Even in all of those clothes he loved the snow! Sweetie even got in on the fun, showing us her true husky colors. Now we are truly ready for spring!
